as I have followed TV-coverage I think this terrain was best suited to make publicity for this sport and make it suitable for olympic games as it has to be following leibniz convention (? not sure about the last though =) )

I think competitors should give their opinion about the course. Maybe if the top runners critisize these kind of courses in public they wont have to run them in future. Middle distance should be technically demanding orientering alltheway, not running easy transitions in the middle of course…

@lukas, @press: Yes, that is right. Gueorgiou said something like “I often say in my lecture that at World Championships, you don’t choose the map and the terrain and you have to be ready anyway for it” – which I was not able to write down fast enough.
