If is recall correctly Edgars went close to purple route, but still more towards the green (right) – less marsh.
From other groups (like H35) who had similar leg right and left was nearly equal if executed properly especially when attacking the control.

If I remember correctly, Edgars’ route was something like the purple one. The marsh was slow, but looks like in this case it was not significantly slower than the alternatives.
