Another issue worth mentioning in this respect is the energy saved by running more on road/path. The route to the left may be a minute slower, but saves more energy. Both Rønning Sund and Wyder seem to have strong finishes.

Gøril Rønning Sund is 8th the 21st control but with a strong finsh ends up in 5th place, even gaining a place from tha last control to finish.
