In fact I didn’t saw the refreshment point when I was planning my leg but finally I used it. In fact I got injured in that race and was suffering a lot from my back (bad fall in early race) and therefore I was not reading my map carefully. Jeroen put my route over there so nothing more to say about this.

It is interesting to see that the refreshment control had influence on the route choice considerations for the second time in Route to Christmas this year (the same was the case on day 1). I wondered if this is planned to be part of the routechoice considerations from the route planners side, or just a side effect?

Normally I would want to have the refreshment control in a place where it does not influence so much I think.

This race was the Belgian WOC long distance selection race. There's one important detail missing in routegadget: you could drink some water on the paved road, just were the three western routes converge. This was what decided my route choice. Plus, I could already see control 16 by going west. Fabien's route choice can be found in his map archive.
