As you correctly identified, runability on the direct routes on this leg is quite good, mostly because many small patches of grass (dark yellow) can be used instead of running through blueberries all the way (light yellow) as was the case for many legs earlier in the race. I chose my route to the right mainly to get some rest from the &gt;60‘ of terrain running before and still having some energy left for the end, being aware that likely I will lose some time.

With my shape not being very competitive at that moment, I however estimate the real difference of my route to the best straight ones to less than 01’45“.]]></description>
