JEC 2014: All You Need to Know!

[Sprint Friday Oct 3rd 17:30 CET, Long Saturday Oct 4th 10:30 CET, Relay Sunday Oct 5th 10:30 CET] The Junior European Cup (JEC) is in 2014 organized in Lommel, Belgium from October 3rd to October 5th.

The organizers promize “live broadcast from the field” (probably speaker sound ) – this article will be updated when more detailed information is available.

Update: I reached out to the organizers, and they replied that they unfortunately will only be providing live results from the finish through the Helga-o webpage – no speaker sound.

Update 2: Speaker sound will be provided from here (Thanks to the organizers for making a quick turnaround!).

The webpage “de Laatste Post” has provided an excellent “JEC 2014 All You Need to Know”-article – and therefore all the information will not be repeated here. Rather you are advised to read the article.

The JEC long distance will be organized in the same area as the JWOC short distance in 1997 – a race won by Jörgen Rostrup and Hanna Heiskanen. The interview “Rostrup and Heiskanen: golden memories about JWOC 1997” is well worth a read.
