Venla 2018: Stora Tuna on top!

stora

Stora Tuna wins the 2018 Venla relay ahead of Göteborg Majorna and MS Parma after a very strong last leg by Tove Alexandersson. Alexandersson was nearly 5 minutes faster than her competitors on the last leg – catching 3 minutes on the leaders already halfways and from there only speeding away.

The tricky terrain gave some of the teams trouble – most notably Pojantähti who was in the lead halfways through the last leg but made a huge mistake towards the end of the last leg, in the finishing in 12th place, 12(!) minutes behind Stora Tuna.

See development throughout the relay below the final results.

Development Leg 4

Pohjantähti took the initiative at the start of the last leg, while Stora Tuna’s Tove Alexandersson had 3 minutes to pick on the leading teams. Already after around 3 kilometer the fast Swede is up in the lead and starts to open a gap to the other teams. From there on it was all about Alexandersson in the lead – but behind there was a tight battle for second place. A HUGE mistake by Pohjantähti paved the way for Göteborg Majorna in 2nd place and MS Parma in 3rd place.
