21:30 CET on Saturday the largest Jukola relay ever starts – with 16558 orienteers registered. More than 1600 men head into the forest at 21:30 CET – nearly 9 hours earlier at 13:00 CET nearly 1250 women start their relay. Here you find all the information you need about the Jukola and Venla relays.
Live TV/results/tracking/startlists
- Live TV feed: Finnish language – Swedish language (via YLE, from 12:40 CET for Venla and from 21:20 CET for Jukola)
- Live results Venla – Jukola
- Live Speaker sound available from here
- There is GPS Tracking (for around 20 teams – see list here) on all legs. However, live GPS Tracking will only be shown on the TV feed – there is no separate tracking offered. On some legs there will be little tracking shown so that later runners will not see the forking etc.
- Startlists: Jukola – Venla (see also statistics by country)- startlists will be public for all teams from Saturday morning 09:00 CET

Map and terrain
The terrain consists of North-South rocky hills (max 40 meters) and partly marshy saggings in between. Most of the terrain has many small details and partly limited visibility. There are some forest roads and the nearby settlements have caused a dense path network which is simplified on the map.
- Routegadget from 2006 in the same area (area west of the big road) – another Routegadget in the forbidden area.
- Search for maps in omaps.worldofo.com close to the competition area

LiveBlog
World of O will again follow the Jukola and Venla relays with the popular Live Blog – and give you all the action and analysis as it happens. This will unfortunately be the last CoveritLive LiveBlog at WorldofO.com because CoveritLive just changed its pricing to be out of my league. Join in on the fun – and contribute with your comments. I need some extra moderators/admins to get through all of the night – please send me an email at jan@kocbach.net if you have the opportunity to help out! I can assure you that you’ll have more fun than watching alone.
