[GPS-tracking highlights & short interviews] A very happy Lena Eliasson took Domnarvet to victory in the women’s class in 10Mila. – I had a fantastic flow today. I knew where I was all the way. On the way I thought that “I am nearly 32 years old, and it is not until now that I understand how it works”.

Haldin & Halden first after the first leg!
Haldin:
– I had a challenge in one place. I was very uncertain. But we have trained for that, so I did what I have trained for. I stopped, took my time, and found out where I was. It was around the first control. After that it went well.
– It is sad that Hausken is not on the team, but we have a strong team.
– What counts is to make your own race, and not get stressed.

– I focused on my own race. I barely saw TP, but Halden I saw many times during the race.
– I felt before the race that I needed to take a lot of initiative myself, but into the controls I used the runners around me.
– I took a good route choice to the first control – going a path to the left – most others went right.

Halden still favourite? Here Jurenikova on the prewarning on the second last leg (+23 seconds in third spot)
Emma Johansson:
– The plan was to run fast, and brake down towards the controls. I felt well. I didn’t see them until late in the course.
– We have had a good feeling in the team all the way towards 10Mila. This is the big goal for all of the club, so I hope Lena will do a good job.
– I think this is good terrain for Lena Eliasson.

GPS-tracking – into the last leg
GPS-tracking first part of last leg
2 x 30 seconds mistake for Halden – here is the second one
Last leg – control 6-11: Some challenging legs ahead. Need to know your compass here – both Eliasson and Fasting could loose some seconds here.
Looks like the gap from the two top teams and down to the followers is quite large. I think Tisaren is missing in this picture
Tisaren soon up in third spot – but still at around 4:00
GPS tracking towards control 11 on last leg
Halden now at 2:23 – 6.7 km at last leg
Niggli on the chase! 3:12 up to Eliasson – nearly 4 km to go. Is it possible for Niggli?
Looks like Eliasson did a good choice!
Eliasson still going strong towards control 12
Eliasson still going strong at control 14
Niggli mistake – costing the 2nd place
