JWOC Sprint: Live from 10:00 CET

jwocmaps2
One of the favorites Gustav Bergman heads out already at 10:00 CET – 2:30 later Manuel Horta starts into the course as the last starter. Thus a long wait for Bergman after he finishes his race in JWOC Sprint – a tough race to win with more than 150 runners in the mens class and nearly 120 runners in the womens class. Being without a qualification race – JWOC sprint is a race were we can get big surprises in the top 10 – as 15 minutes of good running and orienteering is all it takes…

The sprint will be held at the University Campus on the eastern outskirts of Aalborg. The terrain is mainly urban with many architecturally similar single-storey buildings in recurrent patterns. There are canals, footpaths and scattered parking areas. Part of the terrain is residential. The mens course is 2.7 km with 28 controls. The womens course is 2.3 km with 19 controls.

The LiveBlog below will be live during the JWOC Sprint – but might be without moderation and thanks to Ivan Banov we will also have moderation throughout the event. Tweets with hashtag #jwoc or #jwoc2010 will be shown directly in the LiveBlog. In addition, Christian Bobach has promised to contribute to the LiveBlog directly from the arena through his mobile phone. In addition to the LiveBlog, you can follow JWOC sprint through live results on the JWOC page. There is no live speaker sound or GPS tracking at JWOC.

If you are on a mobile phone, you can access the LiveBlog here.
