Mats Troeng (SWE), David Schneider (SUI), Daniel Hubmann (SUI), Minna Kauppi (FIN), Annika Billstam (SWE) and Signe Søes (DEN) won the qualification heats in todays WOC Long Distance Qualification in the Olomouc area in Czech Republic. All favourites went on to the final without big problems in a long distance held in the Olomouc area.

The gold medalist from the sprint, Andrey Khramov (RUS), had some small problems and had to speed up in the end. Also, Michal Smola (CZE) had some problems with a 4-minute error – but also Smola safely qualified to the final. Petr Losman (CZE) was more out of luck, and did not reach the finals after a mistake of more than 5 minutes at one control.
